Montenegrin President Milatovic met with the Montenegrin diaspora living in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The meeting addressed turning the opportunities offered by Europe into better living conditions in Montenegro and making use of the knowledge and experience of Montenegrins living abroad.

In a social media post, Milatovic said he understood people who, despite living abroad, kept their thoughts on their homeland, adding that meetings with Montenegrins living abroad were of special importance to him.

Milatovic said they wanted progress in Montenegro to be based on knowledge and work, noting that they aimed for a country where young people could find reasons to stay and those who had gone abroad could find reasons to return.

Emphasizing that the knowledge and experience of Montenegrins living abroad were valuable in achieving this goal, Milatovic said Montenegro was their home wherever they lived. He stated that they had a responsibility to ensure that the bond with the country was also a bond with the future.
