Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa spoke at a joint press conference in Ramallah with European Union Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica.

Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized that security, stability, and lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.

The statement also noted that Israeli policies weaken the two-state solution, target the Palestinian presence, and complicate the state-building process.

Prime Minister Mustafa stated that the economic and financial blockade threatens the sustainability of institutions and noted that the restrictions imposed must be lifted in order for reforms to progress.
