Trump: Iran says no fees are being charged to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz
Washington, June 24 (Hibya) - United States (US) President Donald Trump made statements regarding the ongoing talks with Iran and commented on transit through the Strait of Hormuz and the use of financial resources related to Iran.
United States (US) President Donald Trump stated that Iran had informed the US that no transit fees, insurance charges, or any other payments were being requested from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said, "If this is false information, the negotiations will end immediately."
Trump also emphasized that no money had been given to Iran by the United States and commented on the use of certain Iranian assets that are under US control.
Trump stated that part of these funds would be used to purchase products such as corn, wheat, and soybeans through American farmers and the livestock sector, adding, "There is an urgent need for food in Iran, and we will purchase it for them only from the United States."
