Netanyahu commented on information he said was revealed by Israel’s Channel 14, alleging that Gantz and Lapid met Qatari representatives along with hostage families in January 2025.

He asserted that the meeting was organized by Potlik, who is named in the file publicly referred to as “Qatargate,” stating: “The person who coordinated the meeting between Gantz, Lapid, the hostage families and the Qatari representatives was Potlik.”

Netanyahu pointed to claims that Potlik is described as a “foreign agent” and that contact with him is considered “espionage and treason,” criticizing the opposition’s stance on the matter.

He said the opposition had accused Jonathan Urich of treason due to his ties with Potlik, adding: “The fact that opposition leaders themselves also had contact with the same person is a serious contradiction.”
