Pakistan welcomes removal from war risk insurance list
Islamabad, July 31 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the decision by the Lloyd’s Market Association Joint War Committee to remove Pakistan from the war risk insurance "Listed Areas" list, saying it reflects growing international confidence in the country.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that his country welcomed the decision of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) Joint War Committee (JWC) to remove Pakistan from the war risk insurance "Listed Areas" list.
In a post shared on his social media account, Dar said the decision marked an important achievement made possible through the efforts of the Government of Pakistan and the coordination of the Pakistan High Commission in London.
Dar stated that the decision reflects growing confidence in Pakistan from the international community and also thanked Lloyd’s officials for their constructive cooperation throughout the process.
Dar noted that the decision is expected to reduce maritime transport and insurance costs, facilitate trade, and contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth.
