According to a statement from Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova met with Irene Planck, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bulgaria.

Among the main topics discussed at the meeting was deepening cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, innovation, and scientific research.

Petrova emphasized her own and the new Bulgarian government’s desire to carry out more focused work in the field of economic diplomacy.

Stating that Prime Minister Radev would visit Germany, Petrova said, “It is important that Prime Minister Rumen Radev’s first official visit will take place in Germany.”
