Moscow, September 7 (Hibya) – The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on its citizens to leave Belarus as soon as possible.
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advised against traveling to Belarus. According to ministry spokesman Pawel Vronsky, quoted by radio station RMF24: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advises against traveling to Belarus. Polish citizens may encounter situations there that will not benefit them.”
The statement added: “If the security situation deteriorates, borders are closed, or other unforeseen circumstances arise, evacuation could become more difficult, or even impossible.”
On Friday, the country’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, said Warsaw would prepare an action plan regarding Minsk in the coming weeks.
On Thursday, Belarusian television reported that the KGB in the Vitebsk region’s Lepel had detained a Pole caught red-handed in espionage and seized classified documents related to the Zapad-2025 exercises.
