Svyrydenko: 4 killed and 44 injured in Russian attack
Kyiv, September 7 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated that 4 people were killed and 44 injured in Russia’s attack on the country, stressing that it is clear Russia does not want peace.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Svyrydenko made a statement regarding the attack on Ukraine.
She emphasized that Russian “barbarism” would not stop the work of the Ukrainian government. “The walls will be repaired – they are just bricks – but the lives of our people cannot be brought back. In tonight’s Russian attack, 4 people were killed and 44 injured. It is clear that Russia does not want peace,” Svyrydenko said.
Svyrydenko called on the world to turn anger at Russia’s crimes into concrete support for Ukraine, adding:
“As winter approaches, we need stronger air defense systems, more systems and more ammunition to protect our cities and our energy system. We need tougher sanctions that will deprive the aggressor of oil and gas revenues – the sources of its terror. Only by being strong and united can we end Russian aggression and secure peace.”
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha quoted Prime Minister Svyrydenko’s statement, saying:
“Cities and communities across Ukraine were brutally struck by Russia tonight. I support our Prime Minister’s call to our partners to impose tougher sanctions on Russia, provide more support to Ukraine, and take other strong steps.”
