Prevot met with his Japanese counterpart Hayashi
Brussels, May 5 (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot announced that trust-based relations between the two countries would be strengthened during his meeting with Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi.
Belgian Foreign Minister Prevot met with Japan’s Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Hayashi at the Egmont Palace in Brussels.
Prevot stated that Hayashi has contributed to strengthening the friendship between the two countries for more than twenty years, emphasizing that this effort is highly respected by Belgium.
Recalling that this year marks the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Japan, Prevot stressed that both countries act on the basis of mutual trust and that this trust is becoming increasingly valuable on a global scale.
It was noted that the parties agreed to develop more joint work and cooperation in the future.
