Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot welcomed Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Brussels.

In his statement, Prevot said that Belgium and India share strong ties based on trade, investment, cooperation between businesses and researchers, and people-to-people relations.

He stated that the launch of the Strategic Dialogue mechanism would provide a stronger political framework for bilateral cooperation. “By meeting regularly, we can further strengthen our existing cooperation in areas such as clean energy, innovation, security, and defense,” he said.

Noting that he had an open and constructive meeting with Jaishankar, Prevot added, “I thank him for his friendship and determination to take the Belgium-India partnership one step further.”
