Qatar emphasizes the need to resume dialogue to end the war
Doha, May 1 (Hibya) – The State of Qatar emphasized the urgent need to resume dialogue in order to implement the phases of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and to bring the war to an end.
Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, stated on behalf of Qatar at the UN Security Council’s quarterly open session in New York, which focused on the Middle East situation and particularly the Palestinian issue, that the meeting was being held amidst an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the region, especially following the renewed war in Gaza.
Sheikha Alya emphasized that the State of Qatar strongly condemns the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
