Qatar said it was deeply concerned by the attacks targeting civilian residential areas and vital facilities in the Sudanese city of El Obeid, as well as the escalating tensions.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to de-escalate, exercise restraint, and refrain from any actions that could further intensify the conflict. It also warned that the ongoing fighting could have devastating consequences for civilians.

The statement stressed the importance of all parties in Sudan engaging in dialogue to achieve a lasting solution, emphasizing that the conflict should be ended through comprehensive negotiations and that the humanitarian situation must be improved.

Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to Sudan's unity, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, rejected any external interference in the country's internal affairs, and expressed respect for the Sudanese people's aspirations for peace, justice, and prosperity.
