According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad represented Qatar at the meeting titled "Call to Action for Palestinian Children in the West Bank and Gaza," held in New York.

Al Misnad said Qatar supported the call to action and urged the parties to reach an immediate ceasefire, comply with international law and put an end to grave violations against children, including killing and maiming.

Al Misnad said children in the West Bank and Gaza face difficulties in accessing safe education due to displacement, attacks, damage to educational facilities and movement restrictions, adding that the international community should continue its efforts to protect children and hold those responsible accountable.

Noting that Qatar prioritizes the safety of children in its mediation efforts concerning Gaza, Al Misnad also said an agreement had been signed with the United Nations to provide approximately 1.3 million liters of fuel to Gaza.

Al Misnad also stated that Qatar would continue to support the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
