Red Cross receives a copy of the prisoner release mechanism
Doha, September 15 (Hibya) – The Red Cross received a copy of the prisoner release mechanism related to the conflict between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Congo River Coalition.
According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) received a signed copy of the mechanism for the release of prisoners related to the conflict between the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Congo River Coalition, known as the "March 23 Movement," as part of its role as a neutral mediator.
The handover ceremony, held in Doha, was attended by officials from the State of Qatar in their capacity as mediators, as well as representatives of the DRC Government and the Congo River Coalition.
