US Secretary of State Rubio stated that Iran will never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon, saying, “This is quite clear. There is a natural reason why we want to maintain a military presence in the region, because they have shown in the past that they were ready to attack us. Beyond that, the president has said he would prefer to reach a deal.”

Rubio said they want Europe to prosper because they are connected in many ways and their alliance is vital, adding, “However, it must be an alliance that is able and willing to fight for its identity and the things it cares about.”

Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, Rubio said, “Both sides are suffering tremendous damage. This is a senseless war. We will continue to strive to end this war because it is an obligation we will not abandon.”

Stating that the Cuban regime has no real economic policy, Rubio said:

“Leaders do not know how to improve the daily lives of their people without giving up power. They prefer ruling the country far more than allowing it to prosper. It is important for the Cuban people to have greater political and economic freedom. And this regime is unwilling to give them that because they fear the Cuban people could sustain themselves.”
