Russell: What children in Sudan need most is peace
New York, November 11 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell drew attention to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan and spoke about the difficult conditions faced by children in the country.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell highlighted the severe humanitarian crisis in Sudan and the hardships experienced by children there.
Thanking Swedish Television for shedding light on the despair of Sudanese children and the horrific conditions in El Fasher, Darfur, Russell said, “Children and families must always be protected and have access to humanitarian aid.”
Emphasizing the immense suffering of children caught in the middle of war, Russell stated, “Above all, what children need most is peace.”
