Russia marks the 205th anniversary of the Consular Charter
Moscow, October 25 (Hibya) – The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs marked the 205th anniversary of the Consular Charter, approved by Emperor Alexander I, which defined the framework for Russia’s consular services abroad.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commemorated the anniversary of Emperor Alexander I’s approval of the Consular Charter 205 years ago — the first codified framework for Russia’s consular services overseas.
Russia noted that the Charter’s influence extended beyond its borders, as Austria requested a copy to model its own consular system after it.
