Zakharova: Norwegian authorities have chosen to forget those who died for Europe’s liberation
Moscow, October 25 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the memory of Soviet soldiers who lost their lives during World War II is not sufficiently honored in Norway.
Commenting on the World War II era, Zakharova noted that the shared history between Russia and Norway is connected to the fate of tens of thousands of Soviet prisoners of war.
“Today’s Norwegian authorities have chosen to forget those who died for the liberation of Europe from the Nazis,” she stated, while expressing gratitude to Norwegian citizens who continue to preserve the memory of the war.
