Saar: Hezbollah in its entirety should be designated as a terrorist organization
Jerusalem, March 20 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar hosted French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot in Jerusalem.
Noting that he listened to Barrot’s impressions of his visit to Lebanon, Saar said, "In addition to the war with Iran and Hezbollah, we discussed other issues in detail."
Describing the attacks carried out from Lebanese territory against Israel, Saar said: "I presented the scale of the attacks carried out from Lebanese territory against Israel since March 2. Their number exceeds 2,500. Among these are attacks launched from south of the Litani River, an area where the Lebanese government and army announced just two and a half months ago that they had established operational control."
Saar emphasized that the Lebanese government and army have not taken any significant steps against Hezbollah, adding: "During the meeting, I also proposed that France and the European Union designate not only the military wing but the entire Hezbollah organization as a terrorist organization. Some countries in Europe have already done this. There is a need for complete delegitimization of this Iranian proxy."
Referring to Israel’s operations, Saar said: "We are conducting our activities against Hezbollah militants with the utmost care to avoid harm to the civilian population. Israel will continue to defend itself and its citizens and will act decisively against threats."
