According to CCTV, Saudi Arabia provided Yemen with petroleum derivatives worth $150 million for use in electricity generation.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program, it was noted that the support aims to meet the diesel and fuel oil needs of power plants in various provinces.

Yemen's Deputy Minister of Electricity, Abdullah Hager, stated that the assistance is intended to meet the needs of 27 power plants across the country and will help address a significant gap in the electricity sector.

A resident of Aden, Aden, highlighted the impact of the electricity crisis on daily life, saying that power outages make basic living conditions more difficult.

It was noted that the program, implemented with the participation of officials from the Central Bank of Yemen, aims to improve the stability of the electricity system, ensure the continuity of essential services, and support economic activities.

The assistance is also expected to contribute to food security and the preservation of cold-chain systems.
