Sharif engages in phone diplomacy with Pezeshkian
Islamabad, April 25 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed regional developments with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in a phone call, delivering a message of peace and stability.
Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif announced that he held a phone conversation with Iranian President Pezeshkian.
Evaluating the call, Sharif said: “This evening, I had a warm and constructive phone conversation with my brother, President Masoud Pezeshkian, regarding the evolving situation in the region.”
Sharif emphasized the importance of Iran’s participation in the process and also referred to the visit of the high-level delegation to Islamabad led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
In his statement, Sharif said: “I appreciated Iran’s continued engagement, including the visit of a high-level delegation to Islamabad led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.”
Highlighting Pakistan’s role, Sharif stressed his country’s commitment to contributing to regional peace, stating: “I reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to serving as a sincere and honest facilitator.”
