Silva: The son of a bricklayer’s assistant must be able to dream of becoming an engineer
Brasilia, December 7 (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated that ensuring equal opportunities in education and professional development is one of his personal priorities.
President Lula da Silva emphasized in a message that providing equal opportunities in education and career access is one of his personal priorities.
He stated that throughout his life he has fought for people to have the chance to learn, pursue university education, and obtain a profession, and that he knows very well the value of such opportunities.
Lula said his goal is to eliminate the divide between social classes, adding: “I want the son of a bricklayer’s assistant to be able to dream of becoming an engineer. I want the daughter of a housemaid to have the same opportunities as everyone else.”
He added that his fundamental aim is to guarantee equal opportunities for citizens across Brazil.
