Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez: Wildfire risk persists, all resources will be mobilized
Madrid, July 28 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said rising temperatures would make efforts to combat forest fires more difficult and announced that all necessary resources would be used until the fires were fully brought under control.
Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez issued a statement regarding the ongoing forest fires in the country.
In a post on his social media account, Sanchez said rising temperatures in the coming days could complicate firefighting efforts and increase the risk of fires.
Sanchez said the Spanish government would continue to mobilize all necessary resources until the fires were completely extinguished, adding that support efforts had been launched for the affected areas.
Sanchez also said the regions affected by the fires had been declared severely damaged civil protection emergency zones and that aid had been activated to reduce personal and material losses.
