Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson attends Eastern Flank Summit
Helsinki, December 16 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that Europe’s defense preparedness and the security of the Eastern Flank were discussed at the Eastern Flank Summit held in Helsinki.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson stated that he attended the Eastern Flank Summit held in Helsinki.
Kristersson said, “Today I attended the Eastern Flank Summit held in Helsinki.”
Referring to the talks held as part of the summit, Kristersson said, “We held important discussions with our colleagues from 7 European Union member states and with Commissioner Kubilius on how we can strengthen Europe’s defense preparedness and the defense of the eastern flank.”
Drawing attention to the threat posed by Russia, Kristersson concluded: “Russia poses a systemic and long-term threat to Euro-Atlantic security. While the eastern border of the EU and NATO is in the spotlight, the consequences of Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine threaten the entire continent.”
