Sybiha: $45 million humanitarian support from Azerbaijan
Kyiv, April 25 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that Azerbaijan has provided support exceeding $45 million since 2022, including energy infrastructure and humanitarian aid, and most recently sent 5 passenger buses.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha made statements regarding Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
The minister stated that, as part of the visit, Azerbaijan provided Ukraine with 5 passenger buses for the needs of communities.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister noted that Azerbaijan has continued its support since 2022, adding that more than $45 million in humanitarian aid has been delivered, including high-capacity generators, transformers, and critical equipment contributing to the protection of energy infrastructure.
The statement also highlighted support programs for children affected by the war, noting that more than 500 Ukrainian children have participated in recovery and rehabilitation programs in Azerbaijan.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked Azerbaijan, emphasizing that this solidarity is of great importance for his country’s resilience and recovery process.
