Kyiv, March 6 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that political statements made this morning by Hungarian authorities show that the detention of seven Ukrainian citizens in Budapest is part of Hungary’s blackmail and election campaign.

Sybiha said: "We will not tolerate this state banditry." He added that everyone who takes and holds their citizens hostage will be held accountable.
Minister Sybiha stated that they reserve the right to take appropriate measures, including sanctions and other restrictive actions, adding: "We once again demand that Hungary stop involving Ukraine in its domestic politics and election campaign. We expect strong responses from our partners."
