Sybiha: Freedom, justice and peace are our most sacred values
Kyiv, March 14 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado and discussed restarting dialogue between the two countries and mutual support in the struggle for freedom.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made a statement regarding his meeting with Nobel Peace Prize laureate and prominent Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado.
Providing information about the content of the meeting, Sybiha said: "Together with my wife Tetyana, we had a very inspiring meeting with Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado."
Emphasizing solidarity between the two peoples, Sybiha said: "Ukraine has always stood by the people of Venezuela, and I was pleased to hear that Venezuelans also support Ukraine and are interested in restarting dialogue between our states."
Minister Sybiha noted that Machado expressed appreciation for Ukraine’s resistance: "I appreciate Maria Corina Machado’s sincere words of respect for the courage of the Ukrainian people and the President."
Sybiha highlighted the shared values of both sides: "Freedom, justice and peace are our most sacred values, and they are worth fighting for."
