Sybiha: Justice is a fundamental element of comprehensive, fair, and lasting peace
Kyiv, November 5 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held an online meeting with the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Judge Tomoko Akane.
Minister Sybiha expressed satisfaction with the work of the ICC office in Ukraine, stating: “Justice is a fundamental element of comprehensive, fair, and lasting peace.”
He noted that the arrest warrants issued by the ICC against Russian President Vladimir Putin and six other senior Russian officials are an important step toward restoring justice, adding that efforts continue to issue additional arrest warrants for Russian officials responsible for war crimes.
Sybiha also provided information about preparations for establishing a Special Tribunal to prosecute the crime of aggression against Ukraine, emphasizing: “We agreed to strengthen our joint efforts to ensure that justice is served.”
