Sybiha: Russia will be held accountable for its policies toward Ukrainian children
Kyiv, July 10 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the OSCE Moscow Mechanism report has documented Russia's practices against Ukrainian children at the international level.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard for Sweden's support for the OSCE Moscow Mechanism report and for the contributions of Swedish experts.
Sybiha said the report demonstrated for the first time at the international level that Russia's actions toward Ukrainian children are not isolated incidents but part of a deliberate state policy aimed at erasing the identity of an entire generation.
He noted that the report documents practices such as the militarization of children, ideological indoctrination, forced assimilation, unlawful deportation, and forced transfer as a systematic state policy, while also revealing serious violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
Emphasizing that the international community must not remain silent, Sybiha stated that those who planned and implemented these policies will be held accountable.
