Sybiha spoke with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Hoxha
Kyiv, June 11 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a telephone conversation with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that he held talks with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, thanking Albania for its unwavering support for Ukraine and discussing bilateral relations as well as European Union (EU) integration processes.
Referring to the military and strategic dimension of the conversation with his counterpart, Sybiha said: “I thanked Albania for its unwavering support for Ukraine. I briefed my colleague on the latest developments on the battlefield. Ukraine has stabilized the front and continues to inflict significant losses on the aggressor while defending Europe’s security.”
Sybiha noted that they focused on the two countries’ shared EU vision and diplomatic agenda, stating: “We discussed our bilateral agenda, plans for future high-level contacts, and coordinating further efforts to advance along our common path toward European Union membership. I congratulated Albania on its impressive progress toward EU accession. Ukraine and Albania have demonstrated that reforms, resilience, and determination deliver results.”
Noting that they had reached a common understanding regarding sanctions against Russia and efforts to achieve peace, Sybiha concluded his statement with the following words:
“We also discussed the need to continue applying strong pressure on Russia and to sustain international efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace. We agreed to remain in close contact and continue working together for a stronger, safer, and more united Europe.”
