Sybiha: The Kremlin failed to break the will of the Crimean Tatar people
Kyiv, June 26 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that the Kök Bayraq was raised at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Crimean Tatar Flag Day, emphasizing that the will of the Crimean Tatar people cannot be broken.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha referred to the ministry's traditional flag-raising ceremony, the meeting with Crimean Tatar leaders, and the importance of Crimea for Ukraine.
Speaking about the ceremony and its participants, Sybiha said, "Today, we raised the Crimean Tatar flag, Kök Bayraq, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. We are continuing the tradition our ministry began in 2016. On Crimean Tatar Flag Day, we were joined by representatives of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, Refat Chubarov, Olha Kuryshko, and children."
Highlighting the shared future of the two peoples and the resistance to Russia's occupation policy, Sybiha stated, "The Crimean Tatar flag flies alongside the State Flag of Ukraine because the future of the Crimean Tatar people and the future of Ukraine are inseparable."
Emphasizing the determination of the Crimean Tatar people, Sybiha concluded, "Despite deportation and Russia's ongoing occupation, the Kremlin has failed to break the will of the Crimean Tatar people."
