Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani made statements regarding the country's latest export figures, end-of-legislature targets, and the internationalization process of Italian companies.

Sharing the latest export growth data, Tajani said, "In the first five months of 2026, exports to non-EU countries increased by 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 133.4 billion euros. In May alone, exports rose by 6.3 percent year-on-year to 27.8 billion euros."

Emphasizing his production-oriented economic vision, Tajani stated, "We will continue to support the internationalization of our companies and work towards achieving the target of 700 billion euros in exports by the end of the legislative term. The State stands with those who produce, export, and create jobs."
