Sybiha: We will discuss defense cooperation with Sweden
Kyiv, May 20 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard as part of his contacts in Sweden. Defense cooperation, Ukraine’s European Union membership process, and steps to end the war were discussed during the meeting.

In his statement regarding the meeting, Sybiha said, “We will focus on implementing the agreements reached between our leaders, our strong defense cooperation, and Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.”
The Ukrainian minister also stated, “We will also discuss peace efforts, Europe’s role, and the need to increase pressure on Russia to end the war.” Sybiha thanked Sweden for its support and noted that the two countries “jointly defend common values and the security of Europe.”
