Tajani noted that Italy and Germany have adopted a common, export-based growth model and support a more ambitious trade policy in Europe.

He said that, within the framework of the Italy-Germany Business Forum, they brought together more than 500 companies from both countries and discussed areas such as support for advanced manufacturing, energy security, digital transformation, strengthening infrastructure and connectivity, and the modernisation of the armed forces. He stressed that these sectors require a qualitative leap in the capacity to deliver solutions at the European level.

Stating that an “economic manifesto” was presented at the forum, Tajani said they aim to be a political and economic engine in revitalising the European Union and the Single Market. “We are working for a stronger and more competitive Europe,” he added.
