Trump: I will keep Todd Blanche as Acting Attorney General
Washington, August 1 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump commented on Todd Blanche's confirmation process for U.S. Attorney General and on Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis.
U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Senators Cornyn and Tillis and outlined what he would do if Todd Blanche is not confirmed, while also commenting on proposed legislation related to protecting gun owners' rights.
Referring to the senators' stance, Trump said, "If Senators Cornyn and Tillis, both angry because I did not support them (one lost and the other retired!), refuse to confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General of the United States—even though virtually everyone considers him one of the most respected professionals in the country—then I will keep Todd as Acting Attorney General."
Referring to previous administrations, Trump added, "I will work very hard to pass legislation protecting the rights of those who were treated very badly by Crooked Joe Biden (and Obama!). (I got nothing, even though I was treated terribly!)."
Reiterating his support for Blanche, Trump said, "Todd Blanche was the voice of common sense! This will come back very soon, and I'll take care of it."
