Trump: We ended the war in Gaza, hostages will be released on Monday or Tuesday
Washington, D.C., October 9 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire had been reached in Gaza and that all remaining hostages would soon be released.
In his statement, Trump said, “We ended the war in Gaza and established a much broader peace. We secured the release of all remaining hostages, and they are expected to be freed on Monday or Tuesday.”
Trump noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was personally involved in the ceasefire process, adding, “I thank Turkey. Gaza will be rebuilt; this was a major agreement for peace.”
He also expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
