Tsahkna: Estonia stands with everyone who is fighting
Tallinn, January 29 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that the European Union’s (EU) decision to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization strengthens Europe’s security.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made a statement regarding the decisions taken at the meeting of EU foreign ministers.
Welcoming the EU’s decision, Tsahkna said: “Today, at the EU Foreign Ministers’ meeting, by designating the Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, the EU has taken a decisive step. This strengthens Europe’s security and sends a clear message: systematic human rights violations and support for Russia’s aggression will have consequences.”
Emphasizing that Estonia stands with the Iranian people, Tsahkna said: “Estonia stands with the Iranian people, civil society, and everyone who is fighting for freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.”
