Tsahkna: No perpetrator will escape justice
Tallinn, May 15 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made a statement regarding the court established with the support of the international community and the ongoing process.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that the Special Tribunal established to prosecute the crime of aggression against Ukraine has been officially supported by 36 countries, including Estonia, and the European Union, emphasizing their determined stance on ensuring justice.
Drawing attention to the significance of the decision, Tsahkna said, “Today is a very important day in terms of accountability. Thirty-six countries, including Estonia, and the European Union have officially supported the Special Tribunal established for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.”
Tsahkna stated, “Our message is clear: Russia’s atrocities will be documented, prosecuted, and punished. No perpetrator will escape justice.”
Emphasizing that international law will be protected, Tsahkna said, “We will not allow the aggressor to rewrite the foundations of the international order. Impunity ends here.”
