Tsahkna: The death penalty is inhumane and should never be used
Tallinn, March 19 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna reacted to reports of a Swedish citizen being executed in Iran.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna stated that Estonia was horrified by reports that a Swedish citizen had been executed in Iran.
Emphasizing that the death penalty is inhumane and should never be used, Tsahkna said, "We call on Iran to respect fundamental rights, including fair trial standards."
Tsahkna stressed that they stand in solidarity with Sweden.
