UN Secretary-General Guterres sends message of solidarity to Lebanon
New York, March 13 (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he arrived in Beirut for a solidarity visit, stating that the Lebanese people did not choose this war.
UN Secretary-General Guterres announced that he arrived in Beirut to show solidarity with the Lebanese people.
In his statement Guterres said: “I have just arrived in Beirut for a solidarity visit with the Lebanese people. They did not choose this war; they were dragged into it.”
The UN Secretary-General also stressed that the United Nations will continue working for the peaceful future that Lebanon and the region deserve, saying: “The UN and I will spare no effort for the peaceful future that Lebanon and this region deserve.”
