UNRWA: Food shortage in Gaza pushing children to the brink of death
New York, July 13 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated that the food shortage in Gaza is pushing children to the brink of death.
UNRWA's statement said that the food shortage in Gaza has brought children to the verge of death.
The statement noted that without urgent care, children will not only suffer but may also die.
“For children like Mohammed who have serious health problems, the crisis is even more deadly. UNRWA teams continue to provide health services in Gaza, but there is an urgent need for medical supplies blocked by Israeli authorities. UNRWA has thousands of trucks ready to deliver life-saving aid to Gaza,” the statement added.
The statement emphasized the need to lift the blockade, concluding: “The UN, including UNRWA, must save lives.”
