In a post, Hegseth said the defense of the Western Hemisphere and the Panama Canal was non-negotiable, stating that the readiness of the United States and partner countries in the region created unmatched strength.
Hegseth said the exercise strengthened vital alliances between the countries and that together they were implementing U.S. President Donald Trump's vision of “Peace Through Strength.”
