Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Tashkent, February 27 (Hibya) - Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bahtiyor Saidov announced that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the UK Export Finance Agency (UKEF) for financing infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bahtiyor Saidov met with Tim Reid, CEO of the UK Export Finance Agency (UKEF), to discuss opportunities for economic cooperation.
During the meeting, discussions covered Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic reforms, improving the investment climate, and strengthening the role of the private sector in sustainable economic growth.
Minister Saidov said, “We signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the use of UKEF’s financial resources for the implementation of priority infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.”
