Von der Leyen: 78 people killed in Russia’s attacks over two days
Brussels, October 9 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said 78 people were killed and 215 injured in attacks carried out by Russia over two days, adding that military and financial support for Ukraine would continue.

Von der Leyen said buses were targeted in the attacks and civilians lost their lives while going about their daily lives, describing the attacks as war crimes.
Von der Leyen emphasized that Europe would continue to stand with the Ukrainian people and said further support in the form of drones, missiles and air defense systems would be provided to protect the country’s airspace.
Von der Leyen said budget support would continue to help Ukraine remain resilient, adding that assistance would also be provided to repair energy infrastructure and help people stay warm through the winter.
