Von der Leyen: Russia is killing civilians indiscriminately
Brussels, September 7 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen criticized Russia’s massive drone and missile attacks on Ukraine, stressing that Europe will stand by Ukraine.
Von der Leyen announced that Russia carried out one of its largest drone and missile attacks against Ukraine last night.
She noted that the attacks targeted not only government buildings but also civilians’ homes.
The Commission President stated that the Kremlin mocks diplomacy, violates international law, and kills civilians indiscriminately.
Von der Leyen emphasized that Europe will continue to stand behind Ukraine, strengthening its armed forces, creating lasting security guarantees, and tightening sanctions to increase pressure on Russia.
Von der Leyen concluded: “The killings must stop.”
