Weel: Russian attacks target civilians, homes, and energy infrastructure
Amsterdam, February 3 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel stated that Russia is deliberately targeting Ukraine’s civilian and energy infrastructure.
Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel made a statement regarding Russia’s attack strategy in Ukraine and its humanitarian consequences.
Drawing attention to the danger exacerbated by weather conditions, Weel said: “Russian attacks are targeting civilians, homes, and energy infrastructure at a time when temperatures are dropping below minus 20 degrees. Targeting people during the coldest winter Ukraine has experienced in years is a deliberate choice.”
Referring to Russia’s stance, Weel concluded his statement by saying: “This deepens human suffering and shows that Russia has no genuine commitment to peace or diplomacy.”
