Wong: Australia and Papua New Guinea have never been closer
Canberra, Aug. 7 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong reviewed the progress made in bilateral relations with Papua New Guinea and under the Pukpuk Alliance.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with Papua New Guinea's Foreign Minister Justin Tkatchenko.
Stating that relations between Australia and Papua New Guinea are at the strongest point in their history, Wong said: "Australia and Papua New Guinea have never been closer."
Referring to her discussions with Tkatchenko, Wong said: "Together with Mr. Tkatchenko, we reviewed the progress we have made and the opportunities ahead as we continue to advance our Pukpuk Alliance and partnership."
