Yermak: A young mother and her baby rescued from occupation
Kyiv, October 24 (Hibya) – Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Yermak announced that, under President Volodymyr Zelensky’s #BringKidsBackUA initiative, a young mother and her baby were rescued from Russian occupation.
Yermak wrote on social media that the 23-year-old mother had struggled to survive after her hometown was occupied in 2022. He said that after she refused to take a Russian passport, the so-called “guardianship authorities” tried to take her newborn baby away. The mother hid for a year to prevent losing her child.
“Today, the mother and baby are safe in Ukrainian-controlled territory. Their documents are being processed,” Yermak added.
