Yermak: We Rescued 5 Citizens from Occupied Territories
Kyiv, August 21 (Hibya) – Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, announced that four young people and a baby were rescued from temporarily occupied territories.
Yermak stated that under the President’s “BringKidsBackUA” initiative, five citizens were rescued from the occupied areas.
Among those rescued were four young people and a baby.
Yermak noted that an 18-year-old girl had spent her entire childhood and adolescence under occupation, constantly living under pressure and danger.
He added: “Another group rescued was a young couple with their baby. They lived without electricity, water, or safety. The woman’s brother also joined the family as they regained their freedom.”
Yermak thanked the Ukrainian Child Rights Network and all partners for their assistance. He also told Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper: “Putin’s words mean nothing without real actions. Together with our allies, we must force Russia to sit at the negotiating table.”
