Czechia Marks Anniversary of the Occupation of Czechoslovakia
Prague, August 21 (Hibya) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia commemorated the anniversary of the military occupation of Czechoslovakia on August 21, 1968, by the Warsaw Pact armies led by the Soviet Union.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a commemorative message on the anniversary of the military occupation of Czechoslovakia on August 21, 1968.
The message stated: “On the anniversary of August 21, 1968, about 30 years after Munich and 23 years after the end of the Nazi occupation, Czechoslovakia was occupied by military force by the armies of five Warsaw Pact countries led by the USSR.”
